CM Siddaramaiah to Challenge Governor’s Nod for Prosecution in MUDA Scam
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah plans to approach the High Court on Monday to challenge Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s approval of his prosecution in connection with the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, according to various reports.
The Governor’s sanction, granted on Saturday, follows accusations by three activists—T J Abraham, Pradeep S P, and Snehamayi Krishna—who claimed that Siddaramaiah abused his power to secure alternative sites in upscale Mysuru neighborhoods for his wife, Parvathi, using falsified documents.
The Congress party and the state Cabinet have expressed their support for Siddaramaiah, dismissing opposition calls for his resignation over the matter.
